Lions for Lambs (2007)

The movies is more based on ideas than on characters. This is so to speak "whats wrong with America" type of movie. Two students leave college to fight in Afghanistan. Soon after their arrival there they are wounded behind enemy lines triggering a series of events at home. The movie is full of great points and interesting dialogues. The actors are great as well, even Tom Cruise is excellent as the rising political star in Washington. All in all a strong recommendation to watch lions for lambs.

Court-martialed Generale organize a mutiny in a military prison revolted by it`s authocratic warden. 1200 inmates stand with him in the rebellion against the warden. It is a small war within the walls of the prison, the inmates are on one and the warden with the guards on the other side.

certainly not Redford`s finest movies, but still very descent movie with few great scenes and few memorable lines. James Gandolfini does a pretty good job as warden of the prison.
