Lincoln (2012)

When it comes to war movies it seems that 2012 is not the best year for the genre. Even though that most of the war movies in 2012 received bad critics there are some that stand out and are considered to be worth watching. Spielberg`s Lincoln is probably one such movie.

It is a biography/drama/war movie about one of the most influential figures in the American history - Abraham Lincoln. The movie so far received many awards, its nominated for a lot more and you can bet your money that it will receive a lot more as well. The movie was well-received by the audience as it did with the critics. The trio Kushner (Screenwriter), Spielberg (Director), Lewis (main role) did an incredible job. Considering everything Lincoln could be easily considered as the front runner for movie of the year Oscar. Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Filed add up perfectly to that magical trio increasing it`s artistic and film values to another higher level. Even though they play supporting roles they bring so much to the movie every time they are onscreen. It`s highly likley that their performances will be rewarded by the academy on the next oscar awards. In meantime here are some of the reviews from some of the most acclaimed and respected critics

The overall conclusion is that is one of the few movies not to be missed in 2012. The superlatives which are commonly used both by the critics as well as by the regular viewers are much deserved. Therefore if you are interested in watching a good movie Spielberg`s Lincoln (2012) is an excellent choice.
