The sequel of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra premiered last week reaching number one in its opening weekend. This week G.I. Joe: Retaliation fell down to third place with $86.7M gross profit. Retaliation features an ensemble cast, starring Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson, with Channing Tatum, Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, and Byung-hun Lee reprising their roles from the first film.
Aside from fighting their archenemy Cobra, the Joes are faced with treats from within the government when Zartan - a mercenary impersonating the US President - frames the team for stealing nuclear warheads from Pakistan. The entire team is eliminated in a military strike, including Duke, and only Roadblock, Flint and Lady Jaye survive.
