One of the greatest war movies ever made. Head to head with movies such as All quiet on the western front, Apocalypse Now, Platoon, Das Boot. If you ask some of the critics they will go even further and say this is probably the best war movie ever made. 

Many would say that Spielberg`s Private Ryan movie first 15 minutes were brutal and that portrayed the real face of war. Those 15 minutes are nothing but a walk in the park for this epic movie. This is war as close as it gets. You wanna see it, think again, do you have the stomach for a real war movie. Come and see might sound as a child game, but there isn`t any childish in it. Elem Klimov did something that nobody in Hollywood would dreamed of, he did a honest war movie. so honest that it hurts watching it, it makes you glad that you didn`t lived in that time in that place. The story is based on real events described by Ales Adamowich who fought against the Germans on the Russian front.
