Inspired by true events during WW I this movie is more appreciated by the critics than the audience. Lovely and moving story that will touch everyone. This is one of the few movies that can be only compared with the great paths of glory and all quiet on the western front. The movie was nominated for the 2005 best foreign film academy award.
