This is probably the best epic/war/drama/action movie made by the great Ridley Scott. the movie is about a simple blacksmith found in the middle of a crusade campaign. Great, massive battle scenes, strong and charismatic characters, true romance and an ending that will blow you away is what you get with this great movie. An art piece recognized both by the critics as well as by the viewers.

The movie is based on Homer`s great epic, it follows the Trojan war, the events that lead to that, the events during the war and the end of the war.

The famous Wolfgang Petersen (Das Boot) is signed as the Director of this High Budget Hollywood Blockbuster. According to the Chicago Tribune the movie is "in league with Hollywood's top historical epics, ancient or otherwise".
