The crew of the Memphis Belle, a B-17 bomber, has reached a legendary status by 1943 because of their 24 successful missions and with no casualties as well. While they await their aircraft to be repaired, they expect their 25th mission, the last one before they are sent home, to be a walk in a park. But the news that they will be bombing the heavily defended city of Bremen, they realize that this mission will mean almost certain death, and personal friction between crew some members does not make the job easier.

Full Metal Jacket (1987)
