The movie describes the last stand of 300 Spartans lead by their king Leonidas against the Persians at the Thermopylae, 480 BC.

Visually stunning movie, the actors good, how the story is told not so good. Not the deepest movie as one would expect, but a light action movie with great fighting scenes and few good lines.
