Kirk Douglas is a US colonel named as the chief military commander of the Israeli forces just before war begins. This big budget war/adventure/drama tells the story of Israel in it first years when formally it wasn't a state. Kirk Douglas leads an all star crew in this epic movie. Even so that this movie can't be categorized in the same category with Kirk's Paths of Glory it still is pretty descent movie worth watching.
