This is an adaption of the best selling anti war novel Johnny Got His Gun. The author of the novel wrote the script and directed the movie as well. The young American soldier that got hit by a mortal shell on the last day of the big war lost all of his extremities, ears, eyes, mouth, nose. His ability to communicate with the outside world is completely lost. All in all the movie might not be as great as the novel, but it`s still a pretty good war or to say anti-war movie. Fans of the novel will have a great time watching their heroes on the big screen.
