A British aircraft is shot down over a Nazi occupied territory and the only survivor is an American general. A rescue team lead by British Major John Smith and American Lieutenant Schaffer must rescue the general from a German castle high in the Alps, before the Germans find out that the General knows all the details of the upcoming D-Day operation. But Schaffer suspects that Smith's mission is much broader than just a rescue.
