Avata (2009) is Oscar winning movie and one of the biggest earners at the box office. Big money were spend on the making of it, but at the same time the gambling paid of big time. As far as the quality of the movie the critics opinions differed a lot. Some considered it an instant classic while others saw only an expensive cartoon.
